Gale Force Winds Oil Painting

Inspired by my travels, I paint landscapes to capture the essence of the view I enjoy while hiking, driving, and getting to know a new land.

This piece is inspired by my first trip to Iceland and where it is I first fell in love with winter travel to rugged terrain during a season where the weather could turn in a moment. The moodiness, and the temperament of the weather really inspired many new paintings that include muted, moody colors and expressive strokes that depict a truly unexpected moment.
